The Remarkable Subsonic Attack Aircraft!
Named after WWII's F4U Corsair, the Ling-Temco-Vought A-7 Corsair II first entered service in February, 1967, during the Vietnam War. It was one of the first fighter aircraft of its era to include a turbofan engine, a Head-Up Display (HUD) and an Inertial Navigation System (INS). While the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy retired the Corsair II by the late 1980s, many Air National Guard units were still operating the aircraft as late as 1993. Kit features clear parts and decal markings for three separate U.S. Navy aircraft.
