The Lavochkin La-11 (NATO reporting name Fang) was an early post-World War II Soviet long-range piston-engined fighter. The La-11 had the shape and body structure of the earlier La-9. The main improvements were the increase in engine oil capacity, weaponry of three NR-23 23 mm cannons. First flown in May 1947, but because jet fighters were coming into service, only a small batch production was completed in 1953.
During the Korean War, La-11s were flown by the North Korean Air Force and the PLAAF.
