Taking off from a Hamburg airstrip in a rented single-engine Skyhawk II, a West German 18-year-old man knew he was setting out on an adventure. He couldn't have imagined the implications it would have. From West Germany, he flew to Iceland, then Norway, then Finland, then he turned East... towards the Iron Curtain, the Soviet Union and... prison. In the midst of the Cold War craze, an 18-year-old successfully passed through Soviet air defenses and landed, unharmed, just short of Red Square. Kit features 3 decals.
